Been at least 10 since I thought about her, back then I dripped around in Rochester.
She was a sweet thing with an ivory face, I wonder why I ever left that place.
I made a bet with her I'd make her cry, she had to listen to a song where a girl died and a guy sang to her gravestone.
She said she did and I had won a date, she wasn't into staying out that late. She's probably married now, I'll sing her name out loud:

She had that western New York manner of speaking, she'd let me laugh at her. Last time I saw her she was curled up and sleeping, I left without a word.
I might have still been 17, the Verve and Biggie on the radio.
I think I still made every class, not that that mattered much to anyone.
